The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction will witness five franchises competing against each other to strengthen their squads ahead of the start of the tournament. There are a total of 146 players who have been shortlisted, with only 27 slots available across the five teams. The auction will feature 119 Indian players and 27 overseas cricketers. The WPL 2027 is scheduled to take place from January 14 to February 7.
The franchises will have to make strategic decisions to fill their team as there are limited vacancies and different budgets.
This includes 20 slots for Indian cricketers and 7 for overseas players. This player pool includes 22 capped and 97 uncapped cricketers out of the 119 Indian players. The overseas pool features 27 players, including 14 capped and 13 uncapped players. The WPL 2027 player auction will be held on October 28, 2026 (Wednesday). The Women’s Premier League auction is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm IST.
Six players from Associate Nations are also part of the list.
