Visa Revocations and Birth Tourism Policy Update
Recent actions by the administration have raised concerns regarding visa holders in the United States. B1 visas are typically issued for business purposes, while B2 visas are designated for tourism, family visits, or medical care. However, the exact number of these visa holders who are seeking or have sought asylum in the U.S. and may be impacted by the proposed visa revocations remains unclear.
Additionally, the administration has intensified efforts to address birth tourism. This practice involves foreign pregnant women traveling to the U.S. to give birth, allowing their children to obtain birthright citizenship.
