The maintenance of peace and tranquillity in border areas is of “utmost importance,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Tuesday (August 11, 2026), adding that India has always emphasised in bilateral talks that Chinese troops crossing into Indian territories constitute some of the “most serious” issues.
