In 2014, the restaurant at the historic Milleridge Inn in Jericho closed after a fire destroyed the kitchen late at night. Milleridge Inn was built in 1672 and served as a wayside inn for the Underground Railroad during the Abolitionist period in the 1800s. Now, it has a 1,000-seat restaurant and the Shops at Milleridge Village.
CBS News reported manager Bruce Davis say that the blaze was likely caused by a pan left on the stove.

Further a person added “All visible fire knocked down at 1006PM,” though there’s been no confirmation of the same. Meanwhile, another remarked “Uh oh. At the time, the fire was not believed to have been suspicious. This had led the restaurant to close with a timeline of reopening in a few days.
