The death toll crossed 700 by Sunday, while around 2,500 people remain missing, according to PTI.

“Many have no visible faces. In some cases, only hands or legs remain; in others, only parts of the body are available. In many cases, more than half of the head is missing,” the officer added.
India Deploys Forensic Team and Relief Supplies to Nepal
The Government of India has dispatched a specialized team to Nepal, comprising forensic experts and a technical contingent equipped for search and rescue operations. This initiative includes essential relief supplies such as blankets, sleeping bags, tarpaulin, plastic sheets, and hygiene kits, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The forensic experts will focus on DNA analysis to aid in the ongoing efforts following the recent crisis.
