Why the Casey Anthony case is gaining momentum
NBC News reported that Anthony was taken into custody and indicted by a Florida Grand Jury in October 2008. However, Caylee’s skeletal remains were discovered near the Anthony family home in December 2008. In 2022, she returned with Peacock’s three-part documentary Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies.
Because of its intense media coverage, much like the Lindsay Clancy murder trial for killing her three children, the Casey Anthony case remains one of the most debated criminal trials in modern US history.
She later became his assistant after struggling to find employment following her acquittal, according to Oxygen. In the series, she repeated her claims that George Anthony played a role in the events surrounding Caylee’s death. George Anthony again denied those allegations in subsequent television appearances.
