On Thursday, senior journalist Vedam Jaishankar launched his book, ‘Developing Champions in Cricket’, at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association premises. The book aims to provide insights into the development of cricket talent and the governance structures that support athletes in the sport. Jaishankar’s work is expected to contribute to discussions on sports governance and talent development within the cricketing community.

“Everybody wants to play cricket today, but it is a lottery,” said Jaishankar. Former India cricketer and veteran administrator Brijesh Patel said that the book was a valuable guide in an era where there is an overload of information.
