Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, during her two-day visit to Tamil Nadu, visited the Sri Lakshmi Narayani Temple in Vellore on Saturday and offered prayers to Goddess Lakshmi.
Addressing more than 200 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs, the Chief Minister said capacity-building was an important step towards the government’s ‘4-P Reform’ agenda — Policy, Process, Performance and Partnership. Gupta said the Central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, had approved Rs 49.74 crore for Delhi under the RAMP scheme.
She said stronger cooperation between the government and entrepreneurs could give fresh momentum to Delhi’s economy. Gupta also extended her greetings to citizens on Varalakshmi Vratam and prayed that the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi continue to remain with everyone. The programme was organised by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), with Industries Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, senior officials and industry representatives also in attendance. The capacity-building programme included training sessions, technical presentations on the RAMP and DCGS schemes, and discussions on government support, market expansion and technology. The government is also working on a comprehensive policy to provide freehold rights to industrial properties, including relocated industrial units, in an effort to resolve long-standing issues and bring greater stability to the sector.
Earlier, Gupta on Thursday participated in the ‘Mega Capacity Building Programme’ organised under the ‘Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance’ (RAMP) scheme at Anuvrat Bhawan.
