Rao Hospital Hosts Informative Session on Breastfeeding and Infant Nutrition
Rao Hospital in RS Puram recently conducted a comprehensive session aimed at educating expectant and new mothers about breastfeeding, newborn nutrition, and infant feeding practices. The program, titled “Breastfeeding and Beyond,” emphasized the importance of support for new mothers, highlighting that while breastfeeding is a natural process, it is also a learned skill requiring guidance. Lactation consultant R Baby Shree noted, “Breastfeeding is not something a mother automatically knows after delivering a baby. She needs guidance and support.” The event addressed common concerns related to breastfeeding, maternal nutrition, newborn feeding patterns, and the introduction of complementary foods, aiming to equip families with the necessary knowledge and resources.
