Abhishek Sharma smashed a blistering century off just 35 balls as India defeated New Zealand by six wickets in the third T20I in Wellington on Tuesday. The Indian opener struck a magnificent 113 off 38 balls, smashing 11 sixes and nine fours as India chased down New Zealand’s target of 199 in just 13.2 overs, with 40 balls to spare. It was simply mind-boggling. [Does this batting performance top the list] Honestly speaking, getting 100 in 5 overs, I’ve never seen that before, especially at the international level.

[How important is that message for them to just be able to play the way they play?] I think it’s essential, especially coming overseas.
Gambhir also made headlines for his reaction to India’s dominant series-clinching victory in the third T20I on Tuesday.
