Chennai: Stating that good things took time and that they were almost there at the point of announcing the film’s release date, Telugu star Siddhartha, who plays the lead in director Bharat Krishnamachari’s eagerly awaited pan Indian period film ‘Swayambhu’, has now said that he never expected to shoot for a 175 days and 2,500 graphics shots for a single film!
The film has triggered huge expectations among fans and film buffs. It may be recalled that it was only on Friday last that the makers had revealed that actress Samyuktha plays a character called Bhoomi in the film and had released a BTS video clip that showed the efforts the actress had put in to perform the action sequences in the film.
I never expected to shoot for 175 days and 2500 graphics shots for a single film.
Talking exclusively to IANS, director Bharat Krishnamachari said, “Samyuktha was very brave and performed this risky stunt all by herself. Pointing out that the terrain was inhospitable and so, even rushing to the actress’s aid would have taken time for the crew, the director said that the actress displayed a steely resolve to deliver a fantastic shot. The actor, who has been exuding confidence about his upcoming film ‘Swayambhu’, took to his X timeline to share an update about the film’s release date. He wrote, “Swayambhu is going to be a Multi Language Pan Indian film releasing nationwide – worldWide. Good things take time. We are almost there… But… Raccha Lepadaniki Ready .. Release Date announcement coming! #TFI #TeluguCinema #TrailerComingSoon. Taking to its social media timelines to greet Samyuktha a very happy birthday, production house Pixel Studios wrote, “From relentless training to becoming the fearless Bhoomi. Wishing our warrior @iamsamyuktha_ a very Happy Birthday. She brought her courage, strength, and spirit to the epic world of #Swayambhu. Release date announcement soon. For the unaware, Samyuktha plays one of the two female leads in the film. This was a shot that required her to scale a mountain with the river flowing below with just one harness for safety. We shot in real locations. This particular scene was shot in Maradmalli in Andhra Pradesh. The slope she had to scale was almost vertical which meant that the level of difficulty was much greater. It is an already established fact that hero Nikhil Siddhartha went to Vietnam to train in martial arts for the film. In fact, the young actor became so proficient in the use of swords that he could fight with a sword in either hand.
Director Bharat Krishnamachari, in an exclusive interview to IANS earlier, had disclosed that the actress had showed great courage and performed a risky stunt for the film for which she had to be on a rope, dangling precariously for two entire days.
