“I have never been afraid of criticism, and I never will be,” Naqvi told Pakistan-based media outlet Geo News . Naqvi also said that he would have only taken the criticism seriously if the move had been called out by legends like Wasim Akram. Further defending the mass sackings, Naqvi said that Pakistan’s fortunes, particularly in white-ball cricket, have improved since he took over as chairman of the PCB. “Those who say cricket has been destroyed since I came – look at what the rankings were before,” Naqvi said.
