The Dehradun T20 League 2026 will commence on September 2, running through September 9. This inaugural tournament features six franchise teams, all of which have announced their captains ahead of the competition. Matches will be held at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun over the course of the eight-day event.
The eight-day tournament will feature 18 matches, with all six franchises playing each other in a round-robin league stage. The top teams will advance to the semi-finals, scheduled to be played on September 8. The winners of the two semi-finals will meet in the grand final on September 9, with the inaugural Dehradun T20 League champion set to be crowned. With the captains confirmed, preparations for the inaugural edition have entered their final phase.
Dehradun T20 League CEO Navneet Mishra said the experience of the six captains would be important for both the competition and the development of young players. Captains such as Akash Madhwal and Jagadeesha Suchith bring valuable experience from IPL and domestic cricket, while TNR Mohit, Yuvraj Chaudhary, Kunal Chandela and Piyush Joshi understand the local cricketing environment and the potential of players from the region,” Mishra said. The tournament will feature six franchises, bringing together players with IPL and domestic cricket experience alongside emerging local talent from Uttarakhand. Each team will play five league matches before the knockout stage.
