On Monday, France and Saudi Arabia formalized a memorandum of understanding that outlines a six-billion-euro investment from Saudi Arabia to develop three theme parks in proximity to Paris. Among these, one park is anticipated to feature a manga theme, as reported by the office of the French president.

Qiddiya to Develop Three Theme Parks Near Paris

Investment firm Qiddiya, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, has announced plans to construct three theme parks near Cergy-Pontoise, approximately 30 kilometers northwest of Paris. This initiative marks a significant investment in the entertainment sector in the region.

The presidency said two other contracts were signed with French companies during the Saudi prince’s visit: one for the marine logistics company CMA CGM to help develop Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Islamic Port on the Red Sea, for $434 million; and the other with rail transport group Alstom to supply metro carriages for Riyadh’s metro, for $580 million.
