The second phase of the “JPSC-JSSC Corruption-Free Recruitment Campaign” will begin from Nemra, the ancestral village of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren in Ramgarh district, on August 24, student leader Devendra Nath Mahto said. The campaign, which seeks a transparent, fair, and corruption-free recruitment system in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), will start in Lukaiya Tand, Nemra.
Mahto said the “Recruitment System Reform Yatra” would be launched in keeping with Jharkhand’s traditional customs. He stressed that the campaign would remain constitutional, democratic and peaceful, and said any violence, disruption or activity affecting law and order would have no association with the movement. “The main objective of the campaign is to strongly and democratically place the problems and demands of aspirants and the necessary reforms in the recruitment system before the government and concerned recruitment bodies,” Mahto said.
The programme will include rituals conducted in the presence of senior pahans, the national anthem accompanied by the beats of the madar, tributes to prominent leaders and the planting of a sal sapling. The yatra is aimed at raising awareness and building support among aspirants and young people across Jharkhand regarding concerns about transparency, accountability, and fairness in government recruitment. He described the yatra as a mass campaign centred on the future, rights and dignity of Jharkhand’s youth.
